In the fast moving world, people have forgotten to take care of the body in which they live, act and smile.
Despite of many awareness programs and billions being spent on studies related to Health and Fitness there is still a rise in the category of people suffering from serious diseases.
One of the most dangerous disease is Diabetes which is commonly referred as Diabetes mellitus.
Diabetes happens due to two reasons either the pancreas located in the deep abdomen stops producing enough insulin or the body cells stops responding to the insulin produced.
So should we blame it to pancreas or body cells for becoming Diabetic??
No…we should blame ourselves for becoming diabetic because we didn’t care about the fat levels, we didn’t exercise, we didn’t adopt a healthy lifestyle which could have helped us to avoid this disease.
There’s a common saying in the diabetes community that diabetes won’t kill you, but it’s complications will. Diabetes is more dangerous than what people may assume and it is expected to take 550 million lives of people in 2030.
Below we have listed few potential threats of Diabetes :
a. Diabetes Ketoacidosis : It is a condition in which the body turns to the Fat as a fuel source which makes the body extremely acidic which can further lead to even Death and Diabetic Coma.
b. Heart Attacks and Stroke : According to American Heart Association, 74% of people over 65 with Diabetes die of either Heart Attack or Stoke.
c. Complications with Feet : When you have Diabetes, even a small wound can lead to the serious foot complication and can cause changes to the shape of your foot and toes. There also will be nerve damage that further leads to sensation loss and blood loss.
